About This Place

Nestled within the magical confines of Disneyland Park in Anaheim, Plaza Inn offers guests an inviting taste of classic American comfort food served with a sprinkle of Disney charm. This beloved restaurant and salad shop at 1313 Disneyland Dr invites visitors to indulge in an atmosphere that perfectly complements the nostalgic yet vibrant vibe of Main Street, U.S.A.

Plaza Inn is famed for its hearty and satisfying menu, where every dish promises a dining experience that’s both familiar and delightfully memorable. The star of the menu is undoubtedly the Fried Chicken Dinner Plate—three pieces of golden, crispy chicken seasoned with distinctive herbs and spices, delivering a mouthwatering crunch with every bite. Paired with creamy mashed potatoes drenched in rich gravy, a fluffy buttermilk biscuit, and seasonal vegetables, this dish conjures comforting warmth that feels like a home-cooked hug against the backdrop of Disneyland’s lively atmosphere.

For those seeking variety, the Pot Roast offers slow-roasted tenderness served alongside the same luscious mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables. Meanwhile, the Honey Salmon Plate features citrus herb-crusted salmon that melts in your mouth, balanced perfectly by fresh seasonal veggies and a basil-infused topping, providing a lighter yet equally indulgent option.

Vegetable lovers and salad enthusiasts will appreciate Plaza Inn’s fresh offerings like the Chopped Salad and the classic Cobb Salad, which add a crisp, refreshing counterpoint to the hearty mains. The menu also caters to younger diners with the Kids’ Disney Check Meal, such as the Penne Pasta with marinara sauce alongside applesauce and carrots, ensuring nutritious, balanced meals are available for little ones.

Complement these savory delights with enchanting desserts that elevate the overall dining experience. The vibrant Rainbow Cake and the velvety Strawberry Shortcake are customer favorites, celebrated for their perfect sweetness and whimsical flair. For a seasonal treat, the Gingerbread Bundt Cake and rich Red Velvet Cake offer cozy, festive flavors. And if you crave a tangy finish, the Key Lime Tart or Lemon Tart deliver zesty freshness that balances the palate.

Plaza Inn also offers a variety of beverages including classic Assorted Fountain Beverages, warm Coffee and Hot Tea, as well as refreshing DASANI Bottled Water and Minute Maid Fruit Punch, rounding out each meal perfectly.

The dining atmosphere at Plaza Inn is warmly inviting, blending the classic Disneyland charm with cozy comfort that makes it easy to linger and enjoy the magical surroundings. Guests frequently praise the impeccable service and the opportunity to dine alongside beloved Disney characters during special events and character breakfasts like "Minnie & Friends." The character interactions here add a layer of enchantment that makes dining not just a meal but an experience steeped in nostalgia and joy.

Reviewers consistently rave about the friendly, welcoming vibe and the consistently delicious meals. One guest emphatically claimed it to have the “best fried chicken ever,” enjoying dinner paired with an evening fireworks show, turning a simple meal into a dazzling event. Another highlights the seamless blend of excellent food and delightful character visits, calling Plaza Inn’s fried chicken “absolutely 5 stars.” While some note minor changes over the years—like the removal of whipped cream from waffles—the overall impression remains that Plaza Inn delivers exactly what Disney fans crave: delicious, comforting food served with a side of magic.

Yesterday we had dinner at Disneyland’s Plaza Inn, located at the end of Main Street on the right side just before the pathway into Tomorrowland. We ordered the Chicken Dinner with three pieces of chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans and a biscuit ($19.99) and the Salmon Diner with green bean/corn/tomato mixture and mashed potatoes ($18.99) and we shared a slice of Rainbow Cake ($7.79). This was some really tasty Fried Chicken, well worth visiting to enjoy. The Salmon was also really tasty with a cream sauce on top. The Rainbow Cake was really moist with a nice light vanilla flavor. This is not a buffet, and it’s a restaurant where you order your food at the counter, you receive your food then pay at the register before seating yourself either indoor or outdoor. Inside seating is more comfortable. I would say that we would order the same meal again for sure but would also be interested in trying other menu items.

Dined here twice, once for an event dining package and once for the character dining Minnie & Friends Breakfast buffet. Delicious both times. The characters I saw were Minnie, Daisy, Pooh, Tigger, Pluto, Chip, Dale, and one or two of Cinderella's mice, specifically Suzy. It is one of 4 restaurants that I know of that has character dining, and this one is the only one inside the park, so you need park tickets and park reservations to get in. Of course, it was pricey, but when on vacation, and for the sake of the smiles on the kids' faces, it felt worth it. It also accomplished one of my kids' goals: to get the majority of the classic character's autographs. Instead of us spending all day chasing characters and waiting in long lines, the characters came to us, while we ate. And they do make many rounds to ensure to greet every guest.

The Plaza Inn at Disneyland is a fantastic dining experience! The atmosphere is cozy and charming, with a classic Disneyland vibe. The fried chicken dish is absolutely 5 stars – crispy, juicy, and full of flavor, a must-try! The Cobb salad was decent, but I’d rate it a 3 out of 5; it was fresh but lacked a little in flavor. The chicken pasta dish was solid, coming in at a 4 out of 5 – creamy and satisfying, though not as impressive as the fried chicken. The service was friendly and efficient, and it’s a great spot for a family meal during a busy day in the park. Highly recommend the fried chicken!

Where do I start?!?! By far the best fried chicken ever!!!! It’s a full on dinner and you can’t go wrong with it. I like to go and eat during the hour the fireworks will be held. It’s a dinner and a show, is how I see it. They also have a pit roast which is really good, green beans, and oh my the mashed potatoes!!! You can’t go wrong on whatever you decide to eat here. This is my favorite restaurant at Disneyland. We really enjoy this place and the cast members are always friendly and very nice. Whatever you decide to get, believe me you will not be disappointed. Want a good dinner worth your penny??? Then this is it my friends. DELICIOUSNESS!!!

Service is great, wonderful to visit with the characters, food is awesome as usual. Just wish they hadn't gotten rid of the whipping cream. I remember coming years ago and you could put whipped cream on top of your waffles. Like some other things that are missing from the park lately -- used to be able to buy really good fudge at the park. I heard it's only available at Knot's Berry Farm now?
